Spring is a time of real excitement, whether it be the longer days, or the warmer weather, it’s always a good idea to start fresh!

Traditionally, homebuyers start their search for a new place to call their own in the Spring, therefore it’s prime time to get your house on the market as you’ll more than likely have a better chance of selling! More buyers looking to move means a little more competition for every available home.

If you’ve already given your home the famous Spring Clean, then it is in the perfect condition to get it up for sale with gorgeous photos showcasing it, as well as to show off during viewings with our fantastic agents! If there’s still a little left to do, however, take a look at our 3 most important tips:

Clean and de-clutter!

Deep clean each room. Wipe down walls, move furniture and clean behind it, clean the paintwork and the windows. Homebuyers are viewing your house, they will be opening cupboards to look inside! Rooms look much larger and more attractive when they are clean and tidy.

Get your garden looking good!

Get all the bushes and hedges in your garden nicely trimmed and dig all the flowerbeds and clear them of weeds. If you have a patio it is a good idea to put a garden table and chairs there to look inviting. In the front garden, a colourful hanging basket looks good. If your wheelie bins look unsightly, hide or disguise them!

Make your house smell attractive!

Make sure your home gets plenty of fresh air with a daily airing and invest in some air fresheners or reed diffusers with the same fragrance to dot around your home.
