2024 Home Décor Trends

Tailormade Moves/26th January 2024

Want to refresh your home but feel overwhelmed with where to start?

Well, we have narrowed down these fantastic ideas for the upcoming year in interior design from our favourite platforms!

Here are just a few:

Make a Statement

This year filler pieces are out and bold is IN. Sculptural furniture is rising in popularity, which means that even your smallest side table can make a big statement. Whether it’s an oversized candle on your coffee table or a chandelier above your kitchen island, introducing these statement pieces are sure to be a conversation starter.

New Year Neutrals

We’ve seen an influx of Scandi-inspired design over the last few years, from minimalist to cosy, but this year we’re seeing an array of warm neutrals included in the home. Finally, greys are being swapped for earthy beiges, contemporary off-whites and taupes that sit so well with the natural materials.

One-Wall Wonder

Small kitchens always require a lot of planning, but the one-wall kitchen is a great way to open this space up. This layout requires a balance between storage, functionality and flow. It’s all too tempting to add in a row of cabinets, but this can close in what may be an already small space. Open shelving is helping this idea further, and adds opportunity for lovely additional decoration.

The New Utility

Often given over to big old white goods and covered in sterile looking appliances, a shift had to happen at some point and 2024 is the year for it. Thanks to its usually smaller dimensions, the utility is becoming a space for experimentation with colour and pattern, new ways of laying tiles or playful wallpaper. Go for gold, figuratively and literally!

Seventies Revival

Retro-inspired interiors are set to make a resurgence in 2024, drawing inspiration from 70’s design especially. Abstract patterns in warm, rich colours will feature across a variety of interior products, ranging from cushions and carpets to wall coverings. Let’s roll back the time and bring in all the textures!
